We had the pleasure of joining our friends over the 4th of July weekend at this amazing location…

We were able to stay on location for the four day weekend for the 4th of July. We had so much activity while staying here this quickly became one of our favorite locations. Below we have two of the audio pieces we captured.  I hope you enjoy!

Our First Night!

Our first night started with us driving in from Colorado Springs. We were greeted by our amazing host Stephanie. Sarah Stream and Robert Gray were on site before Erin and I. Richard Estep and Catlyn K.

Stephanie gave us the lay of the land so to say. The activity didn’t really wait for anyone to start investigating before things started to happen. 

We waited for the rest of the team to get on site before we called it a night at roughly 0600. With Erin and I (Mike) being in a new location we typically have a hard time falling asleep. Erin had an easier time falling asleep than I did. I started to finally drift to sleep around 0630 when I was startled awake by loud heavy footsteps. As I am sitting in up in bed, Erin rolls over to me saying “It’s just foot steps. Lay back down.”

Normally I have my phone recording  while I sleep to pick up any audio disturbances, but tonight I was too tired and forgot to turn it on. (Major Bummer) Later that morning we worked with the team we were there investigating with trying to find out if maybe it had been another investigator that had created the footsteps that we had heard. The good news is that Stephanie has security cameras everywhere that we were able to check, and there was not a soul in the hallway that we could see at that time!

After we got some sleep Erin and I decided to do some burst EVP sessions while everyone was asleep. Erin told me I could play my Switch while she did some investigating. Total bribe wins. 

We went into the child's room, but it really wasn't eventful. We walked down to the storage (about the size of a walk in closet) I wanted to test if you could hear my switch's buttons being pressed on the recording. (For the record they were not :P) Erin was reviewing the recording (uploaded below) and we were absolutely blown away!

On the second evening we had two more investigators join us (Randy and Robbin). While in the process of getting them settled in (in my sleep deprived state) I went to turn on the air unit in the room connected to their room, when I accidently kicked an antique chair (built better than I am) causing excruciating pain and injury. Fast forward a few hours and the group head up to the attic to do the Estes Method- this is the technique where a "receiver" is blindfolded, with headphones attached to a spirit box and says what they hear; another person asks the questions, if any correlation and avoid bias. The first word out of Erin's mouth was "infected". You can see how my first thought was it's a bit strange I tear up my foot and that's the first word we get. A little while later, we did a double blind Estes with Erin and Sarah. So Sarah can't see me and I can't see her, I am sitting with my back on the floor and my legs elevated since I just hurt my foot. I start moving to adjust the way I'm sitting, lowering my left leg down. Sarah says, "stop! stop moving" while she is still under blindfold and headphone. At this point, my left leg is straight on the ground and my right leg is still hooked on the chair. The strange part is that is the exact same way that Sarah was sitting not aware of my position.

I can't say for sure that this is paranormal, but it sure is one heck of a coincidence.
